The pilot of the 47-city mainland residents’ personal tour to Taiwan was suspended. In view of the current cross-strait relations, it is decided to suspend the pilot of individual travel of 47 mainland residents to Taiwan from August 1, 2019.

According to the website of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association issued the Announcement of the Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association on Suspension of the Pilot Program for Mainland Residents to Taiwan Individual Travel on July 31, saying that in view of the current cross-strait relations, it was decided on August 1st, 2019. According to public information, the specific 47 cities mainly include Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, Tianjin, Chongqing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Jinan, Xi'an, Fuzhou and Shenzhen.公开信息显示，具体的47个城市主要包含北京、上海、厦门、天津、重庆、南京、杭州、广州、成都、济南、西安、福州、深圳等。
